C3 Victory takes on Windale projects and many more

Posted by:

On Sunday 13th Oct 300+ people from C3 Church Victory went out after shortened services in the morning and the evening to serve across projects in partnership with Lake Macquarie City Council, Newcastle City Council, Windale Ruby League Club, Reading Cinema, Nobby’s Surf Club, Charlestown East PS and Amaroo Lodge. It was a great time when families could work together; there was something for everyone from children to gatekeepers. Everyone worked with great enthusiasm and fantastic attitudes that brought amazing transformations in spite of the hot windy weather. The community response was extremely positive with many people expressing their profound appreciation to the church for taking an interest and making a difference in their community.

IMG_6149Thank you to those who participated, you may not have felt that your small part was very much in the time available, but the combined effect of all our efforts created a significant impact. A huge ‘thank you’ to our awesome Team Leaders and the many people who helped prepare for CityServe. Also a big ‘shout out’ to those who sponsored some of the projects, Koorong at Argentine, Salsa, Mantles, CityServe, Life Education and K-Mart at Kotara.

CityServe is a wonderful portrayal to our community of ‘How good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity …. for there the Lord commands a blessing …’ Ps 133. Across Lake Macquarie and Newcastle for five weeks there has been many churches working together in schools, surf clubs, sports clubs, bushland reserves, with community organisations and local businesses. Congratulations and thanks to the Kingdom Works team for facilitating this God honouring initiative that blesses our city.
